Somewhere in France
October 26th.

Dear Colonel Turner:

Just a hasty note since I’m awfully short on ambition today. I have plenty of time it seems but no ambition.

The collections for the club will be delayed for quite some time. I guess. When I left the unit, the men hadn’t been paid for quite a while now. When that will be is one of those things that I don’t know.

I thought you’d catch the words “when I left the unit.” Colonel, I’m no longer with either the puka puka or the Go for Brokes ” having been shipped out a while back. I’m getting ready for a trip.

Expect to see you one of these fine days.

Sincerely Kajikawa
