Dear Dad & Mother

I sometimes wonder what is happening
back home some nights, when its time for me
to close my eyes, to rest. You may wonder the
same, but don’t worry much about me, because
I’m alright.

Lately I eaten lots of grapes. Apples, walnuts,
and chestnuts are common around here.

It must be the rainy season here, because
it was raining just about every other day. When
it rains it sure rains and gets muddy everywhere.

Living in other part of the world and yet
at night I’m looking at the same stars as back
home when I was a civilian. Well I don’t have
much to write about so at present I’ll cut short
my letter for the next time.
Your Son
