Dear Sis─
How’s the girl? Y wrote awhile ago and it seems that you celebrated a birthday recently. As usual, pardon me for being ignorant of the whole works. I’m getting pretty near mine too and I’m thinking that I’d hate to spend that day out in the cold. Rather, I should say that I hate to spend any day out in the cold etc.
Its [sic] cold here but to date, I’ve seen only one day of snow. I had rather expected a lot of snow about this time. I don’t know which would be worse, and I know this rain sure is making things uncomfortable for a lot of guys. Well, take care.
